Who doesn’t love spaghetti and meatballs? Parent friends - this recipe is for you! Everyone gets caught up in their busy schedules and needs a delicious yet quick recipe to whip up for lunch or dinner to feed the ever-growing hungry children. This spaghetti and meatball recipe is one of our family favorites. Kids typically devour it and ask for seconds! Enjoy this simple and tasty recipe. It’s not authentic but still tastes great!

I experimented with many brands of pasta sauce, and hands down the Ragu Parmesan and Romano Sauce is our favorite sauce when serving with meatballs.

Serve with New York Garlic Toast! It’s our favorite.

TIP: Make sure beef is cold or the mixture gets too sticky when mixing together

 

What you’ll need

  • 1 jar Ragu Parmesan and Romano Sauce 

  • 1 jar of another other tomato sauce (not too acidic) 

  • 1 onion 

  • 1 slice of bread (crumbled into breadcrumbs)

  •  Oregano to taste (Usually around 3/4 tsp) 

  • 1 tsp salt 

  • 1 tsp pepper 

  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper 

  • 1 tsp garlic Powder 

  • 1 lb lean ground beef 

  • Pasta of choice (we prefer spaghetti)


dIRECTIONS

Cut onions finely

Mix breadcrumbs, meat, salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, meat, and onions together

Form into small meatballs should be roughly enough to fill a dinner plate completely

Cook in the microwave for 3 minutes

Drain fat and switch the meatballs around so the ones that are not cooked get cooked

Cook for another 3 minutes (the meatballs should be about 90% cooked)

Mix both sauces together in a pot.

Add some pepper, salt, oregano, and garlic powder to the sauce

Add meatballs in sauce and cook for another 15 minutes

Serve with spaghetti
